Topic Selection:
This assignment is the first step for completing your personal case study. This case study will be built around an organization with which you are familiar and will describe, analyze and resolve an organizational issue related to this organizational behavior class. Topics may include organizational structure, motivation, leadership, conflict, policies – anything that could be made better through the application of your knowledge of organizational behavior. You will pick the issue, describe it and its impacts on the organization, research ways to improve or resolve the issue and then recommend a solution. You should have at least five resources other than your textbook. Select an organization and a topic and submit a one page synopsis, stating what you are studying, what you intend to learn and what you are going to do with that knowledge. List your organization, the topic, and your rationale for the selection. Your paper should be written in APA format with a title page.
Project Outline:
Submit an initial outline for the personal case study. This assignment is intended to demonstrate that you have organized your thinking and have some idea what your case study will be about. Your outline should include a brief synopsis of your case, 5-6 headings and relevant topics that will steer your project in its final direction. This is a living document and should be relevant enough to be the table of contents for your final paper. Include a brief list of articles or topics that are you are researching (begin your reference list). This is a preliminary document and should include some ‘big picture’ ideas.
Reference List:
This is for the initial reference list for your personal case study. Using APA 7 format, list at least ten (10) potential scholarly references. The references should be comprised mostly of articles and peer-reviewed writings from the Myers library database. Wiki’s and Blogs are not suitable references. Please critically analyze the source you are choosing, and list each reference in APA format with a brief summary of the theme or ideas presented in the article.
