For this task, You are a Special Education Teacher who works with Students with Intellectual Disabilities. You will write a paper to help you analyze critical aspects related to students identified with intellectual disabilities. There are three parts you should include in this paper. All three parts will be submitted in one document.

Part I:Should be 2 Pages

To expand your knowledge and understanding of the abilities and characteristics associated with intellectual disabilities, review the various individuals portrayed in the video Just Like You—Down Syndrome. Briefly compare and contrast the similarities and differences between the individuals portrayed in the video with and without an intellectual disability.

Part II: Should be 2 pages

Based on your own personal experiences, brainstorm a brief list of what you believe to be the general abilities and characteristics of students identified as having an intellectual disability, as well as what you believe students with intellectual disabilities are able and not able do. Next, view the video, Just Like You—Down Syndrome. Revisit the brainstormed list and discuss how your perspectives may have changed and why.

Part III: Should be 2 pages

As a special education leader, you may be responsible for staff development activities. Prepare a one-page flyer handout to accompany a staff viewing of one of the video. In the handout, provide a synopsis or overview of the video and 4-5 accompanying discussion questions you would facilitate with the group.
